Veterans Section and Programs

Prairie Home Cemetery has a special section for veterans and their spouses. This section is almost filled; however, veterans are also located in almost every section of the cemetery.

The Veteran Flag endowment program was started in 2000. Prairie Home allows all veterans to participate in the program whether they are property owners or not. A one-time fee purchases the flag and bronze plaque. A permanent location is assigned for each veteran. Flags are flown on particular days of the year. Those living veterans and those who are also property owners at the cemetery will have their flags flown on their burial date at Prairie Home Cemetery.

Grave prices in Veterans Section are priced at $700.00. Full size burial interment (opening & closing) is $895.00
