E. Sunset Drive Roadway Widening

Project Update: (May 19, 2017)

The City of Waukesha is constructing improvements to E. Sunset Drive from Sunset View to Les Paul Parkway.  This project will widen the existing roadway from 2 lane to 4 lanes with medians and new lighting.

The contractor has finished work in the median and has moved traffic to the outside lanes.  This new traffic shift will be in place until first week of June.  The Contractor will then work on areas to the outside to finish restoration and prepare for final asphalt surface.  During the next few weeks, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on E. Sunset and will be pushed to the inside lanes from the Meijer Store driveway to Les Paul.  Some traffic movements will be restricted for some periods of time during the construction.  Every effort will be made to maintain all driveway movements at all times.

The contractor is expecting to finish the remainder of the project by the end of May 2017.  Your patience with this construction project is greatly appreciated.  Feel free to contact me with other comments, questions, or concerns.
